Mediation Solicitors

Mediation is a useful and successful way of resolving disputes without the expense, time and stress involved in having to go to court and the outcome can often include remedies that a court could not order, including an apology or an explanation.

If agreement is reached a Mediation Agreement can be drawn up.The Mediator acts as an independent third party who remains neutral throughout, and the Mediator’s role is to help both sides to come to an agreement, rather than to judge. Mediation is not only cost effective but it is flexible too and can be used to settle a diverse range of disputes including:

  • consumer disputes
  • workplace disputes
  • contract disputes
  • housing disputes
  • neighbour disputes

Mediation is voluntary and takes place only if both parties agree. It is completely confidential and if the process is unsuccessful the parties can still go to court without fear that the details of the Mediation will be disclosed or used at a court hearing.

The cost of mediation are borne by each party equally. Mediation can be considered at any stage, whether it be before one party has started the Court process or whether you are already involved in dispute being dealt with by the Courts.
