Our History
The Firm Bathurst Brown Downie & Airey was formed on 1st August 2000, following the merger of Bathurst Brown & Co with Downie Law Associates.
The Bathurst Brown & Co practice was established as one of the first Twickenham solicitors in 1946, originally in association with a much older Middlesex practice, which also had offices in London. Bathurst Brown & Co was therefore one of the oldest established firms in the area. Its approach was that of the traditional "family firm" and the basis of its practice has been conveyancing, wills and probate, and general family and private client work.
Downie Law Associates was a litigation-based firm, dealing with mainly contentious matters including matrimonial, family, personal injury, clinical negligence, landlord and tenant and general civil litigation.
